Student Voice
About Us

Student Voice at Brockhill formally started around four years ago. As with many organisations the starting group was very small and virtually unknown: it has now grown and blossomed, and has become an integral part of school life. We as part of the student body stand for bringing education into the 21 st Century by thinking about our learning. Ultimately we the students understand and can recognise how we learn best and therefore it seems simple logic that students should therefore discuss and evaluate learning. We stand for developing ourselves into ‘active learners;’ and the toolkit which we ultimately need to be an active learner is that of voice and this is what we believe to be the seminal aspect to learning and education. This is what we primarily do: develop our voice and the voice of our peers. The student voice team currently consists of over 150 people from a variety of different areas of the school with members consisting of the 6 th Form right down to Yr 7 and from young famers to performing arts students. This powerful and diverse group therefore ultimately sits at the apex of both the student and staff body and will continue to grow and build profound structures to help its success continue to expand within Brockhill.
