Dear Parents  

Throughout the period of national mourning, we continue to commemorate Her late Majesty’s long reign by considering with students her life of service, together with key events over these past 70 years.  

Through their lifetimes students may well experience 2 further accessions to the throne and each day in Daily tutor time we will be considering the different ceremonies and rituals associated with the accession of a new sovereign to the throne.  

Citizenship lessons this week have given students the opportunity to reflect on these aspects of our constitution.   

We confirm that this school will close next Monday, September 19^th on the occasion of Her late Majesty’s funeral.
