Executive Principal’s Welcome

Brockhill Park Performing Arts College is an 11-18 academy with specialisms in both Performing Arts and Rural Studies.

Brockhill is an exceptional school and place set in a beautiful 24 hectare site in an area of outstanding natural beauty overlooking the English Channel and close to the village of Saltwood near Hythe in Kent.

Our fully operational Farm is the only school Farm in the country to hold Gold Leaf status, awarded to us by the Duchess of Edinburgh on her visit to Brockhill. Our Performing Arts Facilities are second to none and our Company in Residence – INSTEP – welcomes more than 200 students of Dance to Brockhill in the evenings.

We cater for the full mainstream ability range and offer a wide range of academic courses, including 25 A level course in our Sixth Form. Many of our students go on from Brockhill to university with others choosing to follow apprenticeship routes or enter employment. We are highly ambitious for all our students as demonstrated by our examination results and identified by OFSTED in January 2026

Crucially, all Brockhill students leave us with a destination at the end of either Year 11 or 13.

We believe in and teach the importance of Care, Courtesy and Consideration through Kindness. Our students leave us as well educated, rounded individuals who are ready to make a positive contribution to society.

We value highly our relationships with our local primary schools and strive to harness their knowledge and understanding of each student before they join us in Year 7, so they can progress quickly and happily from the moment they start.

All are welcome and welcomed at Brockhill.

We look forward to meeting you.

Principal’s Welcome

At Brockhill, we ‘shape the future through creative learning’ through inclusive and responsive teaching.

Creative learning is defined as an ability to ‘problem solve’- adapting knowledge and skills to a range of questions and problems.

Our curriculum explores humanity’s biggest mathematical, scientific, creative, expressive, technological and vocational questions. We equip our learners with the skill-set and knowledge to solve these questions and problems, for their current world and their world to come.

Through our teachers’ curriculum design and lesson architecture, students have expert, direct instruction including retrieval of prior learning, application, fluency and practice of knowledge and skills enabling them to reflect and connect their learning, so becoming independent critical thinkers.

Teaching and learning at Brockhill is ambitious, adaptive, responsive and  collaborative, so enabling our students to become expert disciplinary communicators.

I hope you and your child will be delighted by their experience of the Brockhill classroom and that this academic year will be their most successful yet!

I look forward to meeting you all.
