Letter to Parents 17th April
Dear Parents and students
I hope you all had a peaceful Easter.
We welcomed students back to school this morning for what will be a busy but brief half-term.
You will be aware from the media that the NEU have announced further days of industrial action, scheduled for Thursday, April 27th and Tuesday, May 2nd. We intend to run these 2 days in the same manner as we ran the previous days of industrial action – IE with students in Years 11 – 13 attending on site with students in Years 7 – 10 undertaking remote learning. I am grateful to you all for your understanding in respect of this ongoing situation, for which I can only apologise.
With the Bank Holidays falling as they do, the following picture emerges for this half-term.
Thursday, April 27th |
Years 11, 12 & 13 on site learning at Brockhill; Years 7 – 10 Remote Learning |
Monday, May 1st |
Bank Holiday |
Tuesday, May 2nd |
Years 11, 12 & 13 on site learning at Brockhill; Years 7 – 10 Remote Learning |
Monday, May 8th |

Otherwise our Term Dates are unchanged.
In what is clearly a busy ‘wider world’, we will focus this half-term on our core message to students of the importance of kindness to others, along with encouraging them to submit their personal best home- and classwork assignments.
Thank you as ever for your support.
Yours sincerely,
Charles Joseph
