Dear Parents and students
Thank you for all your support this week.
By 1.30pm today, students had earned 2541 Excellent Effort Points for submission of personal best home- or classwork assignments. Behind each one of these pieces of good news lies a story of parental love and support.
Thursday, was a wonderful day for Brockhill with a number of visits taking place: - 14 of our Young Farmers showed their sheep and hosted activities for primary school children at the Kent County Agricultural Society’s Living Land Day. I was really proud to witness our students’ kindness and engagement. 45 Year 8 Science students visited the Royal Observatory in Greenwich with Mrs Crook and Mr Aslett, where they undertook a number of lessons to learn how to calculate distances in space, before standing for Photographs on the Greenwich Meridian Line. And 66 Drama students watched a performance of Shrek at the Marlowe Theatre in Canterbury in preparation for their summer production.
We have received communication from the National Crime Agency about ‘sextortion’ of young people and have addressed this matter in our Family Friday Tutor period this morning.

Our former History teacher, Mr Zintel-Warner has now embarked upon his 2 year round the world cycling journey in support of Great Ormond Hospital. We are following his progress and through this will gain a wider ‘window on the world’ as well as engage our students in the wonderful work Great Ormond Street does for children and their families.

Public Examinations for Years 11 and 13 are getting underway. We have handed statements of entry to students in these Year Groups for parental signature. Please ensure you return these to school on Tuesday morning.
