This week, students have been out and about. Brockhill staff work hard to provide a window on the world for students and ensure they can enjoy learning away from the classroom.

Our Horticulture students have laid the wreaths they made at Brockhill on the War Graves in St Martins and Spring Lane Cemeteries in advance of Remembrance activities we will undertake after the half-term break.

History and Photography students visited the family home of Winston Churchill in Kent - Chartwell House.

Drama students took part in an Immersive theatre experience at Thorp Park, Fright Night.

And finally, the Scholastic Book Fair run in our BPPAC library by Ms Brown to promote reading for pleasure has raised over a thousand pounds.

From Monday – Thursday, we awarded 3937 Excellent Effort points to students for submission of personal best home- and classwork assignments.

In addition, we are today sending 935 Gold, Silver or Bronze commendation certificates or letters to parents of students nominated by their teachers for consistent effort and engagement with their learning, since September.

Where students are nominated by 1 or 2 of their teachers, we send a commendation letter to parents. Please do encourage your daughter or son to seek as many nominations as possible from their teachers next half-term. Nominations are based on students completing and submitting their personal best class- and homework assignments.

We have also sent out 428 attendance commendation letters for students with 96%+ attendance. Behind all this wonderful work from our students lies a lot of love and support from parents and families. This is so vital, and we are truly grateful to you for this.

Earlier in the term, we held on site Meet the Tutor and starting out this year events for each Year Group. If you were unable to attend, school leaders have prepared an audio presentation of what they ran through with parents on the evenings.
