Year 10 Walking, Talking Mock and Pre-public GCSE Practice Examinations June 2019
Dear Parents
From June 18th we are planning to give our Year 10 students examination experience in preparation for sitting GCSEs at the end of Year 11.
All students will take 'Walking Talking Mock Examinations ' (teachers give help in these) from June 18th in English, Mathematics and Science, as well as History Geography and French, where a student takes these subjects..
Thereafter, students will sit 'Pre-public Examinations' (teachers do not help) in these subjects in the Examination Hall.
Results from these practice examinations will then inform us as to how we can best help individual students in our teaching during July and then from September.
Through next school year we will aim to provide students with regular examination practice across the range of subjects, going through examination papers carefully after we have sat them.
We will also make regular use of the last week of each ½ term for examination practice in the Hall and vary the subjects we examine but place emphasis on English and Mathematics.
We will provide students with further information relating to the 'Walking Talking Mock' and June 'Pre-public' GCSE examination arrangements in class during the coming 2 weeks.
Yours sincerely,
Charles Joseph
