Letter to parents 25th February
February 25th 2021
Dear Parents / Guardians
Thank you so much for your support of Home School today.
As part of our planning to return to on site education we will be asking teachers to enter Assessment Grades for students, based on their learning since November. We will issue these Grades to parents at the end of the week beginning March 8th. This will enable students, parents and teachers to take stock, as move on with the rest of the school year.
Arrangements for Centre Assessed Grades in respect of A levels and GCSEs have been announced by Government. These will be based on moderated teacher judgements informed by samples of assessed work, which we will be undertaking between now and June, as well as assessment tasks already undertaken. As already stated, we will do all we properly and legally can to support the best outcomes for our students. As we return, all students will need to play their part in supporting these processes by committing to 100% attendance and completion of their best standard class and homework.
Parents of Year 13 and Year 11 students please refer to the relevant of the 2 publications from the The Parents’ Guide:

This and next week, we will be taking every opportunity to celebrate with our students the learning they have undertaken and the skills they have acquired over these 2 months. The students we speak to navigate the technology associated with their online learning with breathtaking ease!
COVID-19 testing in schools consists of lateral flow tests, self-administered by students, either by a swab from the nose or throat, with staff on hand to offer advice if necessary. Current Government Guidance suggests students will self-administer 3 tests in school, prior to receiving testing kits from school, so they can undertake further regular tests at home.
Over the coming two weeks, we will be continuing with welfare calls and our monitoring of attendance to Live Online lessons, in order to ensure our transition back to on site learning is as seamless as possible.
The Daily Tutor Time activity tomorrow is: Friday - Quiz. Fun for everybody!
We want all our students to remain safe by following the National Lockdown Guidance
https://www.gov.uk/guidance/national-lockdown-stay-at-home as well as to remember social distancing, hand washing and face coverings, so as to play their part in the fight against the spread of COVID-19.
Yours Sincerely,
Sonette Schwartz
