Letter to parents 1st March
March 1st 2021
Dear Parents / Guardians
As we enter our final week of Home School we are continuing our preparations for the second half or just a little less of this school year. After students return to school we will resume and reinforce our Universities’ Collaborative Project work, through which we aim to provide every child with a learning experience facilitated by one of the universities.
Such learning experiences can be subject based or more cross-curricular in focus. In any event, we will be working very hard to ensure our students’ learning experiences are both rich and enabling, offering them a window to the world, as they continue their Learning Journey at Brockhill.
We will be emphasising to all students the importance of 100% attendance to school and believe the introduction of Lateral Flow Testing should give students and their parents the confidence for this to be a realistic aspiration. All students in Years 11 & 13 will need to commit to 100% attendance and completion of their best standard class and homework, in order to aim for the best possible Centre Assessed Grades.
The Daily Tutor Time activity tomorrow is:
Students should let their Daily Tutor for Tuesday know what and how much they have read at the end of tomorrow. We very much wish all our students from Years 7 – 13 to undertake 20 minutes reading a day, as this is so helpful to their development.
We hope you received your weekly Guardian Summary last Friday afternoon in respect of your daughter or son’s learning for the week. If you have not received this, please let us know.
Please can you take a moment to check your child has the correct school equipment and all necessary uniform items. Channel Uniforms are offering an online ordering facility at the moment and delivery appears to take about a week. http://www.channeluniforms.co.uk/
For students, who wish to join this year’s Junior Bakeoff competition, here is the link.

This week, we will be taking every opportunity to celebrate with our students the amazing learning they have undertaken and the wonderful skills they have acquired over these 2 months. We will also be continuing with welfare calls to ensure our transition back to on site learning is as seamless as possible for every one of our students.
Yours Sincerely,
Sonette Schwartz
