Letter to parents 19th March

 March 19th 2021

Dear Parents / Guardians

Thank you for all your support of us this week. All has again run smoothly with Lateral Flow Testing today and we have now tested Years 13, 12, 11, 10, 9, 8 & 7 for the second time.

Today, you should receive your weekly Guardian Summary in respect of your daughter or son’s learning this week. We hope this is useful to you and your child. If you do not receive this, please contact us on Monday and we will resend an invitation.

Early next week, we will provide further details and booking information about our Thursday, April 1st Years’ 11 & 13 Consultation Day, which is scheduled to run remotely.

This week we have been emphasising to students our expectations around uniform and the requirement to have mobile phones turned off and in bags during lessons, along with our general in school routines. From Monday, where students are not dressed in appropriate uniform / office wear for Sixth Form they will be sent home to change.

Please watch our video explanation of Lateral Flow Testing at home with your daughter or son, as this is a quick, easy guide to what some of us find is a slightly fiddly process.

We will test students once weekly as per the schedule below until at least the end of this term. Please test your child at home 3 or 4 days apart from each in school test.

Students must not come into school if they are exhibiting symptoms and need to self-isolate under current guidance. Anyone self-isolating with symptoms must access testing away from school and engage with the NHS Test and Trace process. If a symptomatic student comes into school or develops symptoms whilst in school, parents/carers will be contacted and the student will be isolated until they are picked up.

Yours Sincerely,

Sonette Schwartz
