Letter to Parents 13th July
July 13th 2021
Dear Parents
Thank you for your support of your daughters and sons and of course of us.
This Friday, July 16th, is the last day of term. We will run a normal school day and finish at 3pm.
Today, we are providing you with information about how and where parents may seek support to keep their children safe over the summer holiday. The linked leaflet signposts mental health support services as well as further support for parents around the issue of digital parenting.
Safeguarding Links and Information for Parents
We have now had a total of 9 positive cases of COVID-19 amongst our students in the last 2 weeks. Our on site testing is picking up a good number of these cases and helping to keep everybody safe. However, of the number of students we have sent home to self-isolate, most have been social close contacts from break, lunch or the journey to school, rather than classroom close contacts. Please remind your daughter or son to restrict their social contact to students in their teaching group, as far as is possible and to socially distance at 2 arm lengths whenever they can.
We will end the week and school year by sending over 400 letters of commendation and certificates to parents of students, who have been nominated by 3 or more of their teachers for their effort, attendance and submission of personal best class and homework assignments.
We will also be providing you and the students with links to the Work Packs we are providing in each subject for students to complete over the summer holiday. We will recognize and celebrate students’ completion of these assignments when we return in September.
It is also our intention to continue Lateral Flow Testing of students once weekly as per our regular schedule, at least until the end of the autumn term.
At the time of writing we are dealing with a technical issue around the SIMS Parent Ap and hope your daughter or son’s Assessment Sheet will be available on time tomorrow morning. We will be monitoring this closely and seek to remedy any issues which may arise during the morning.
Yours Sincerely,
Sonette Schwartz
