Letter to Parents 13th December
December 13th 2021
Dear Parents / Guardians
As we approach the Christmas holiday, we are providing resources which aim to promote discussion between parents and their children, to help them stay safe online.
Our latest Digital Library contains a range of exciting and enjoyable books to read for each year Group from Years 7 – 13. We want to encourage all our students to choose and read a book for pleasure for at least 20 minutes a day. Research evidence is clear that students, who read daily, understand and achieve so much more highly across their school subjects.
Our loans system for IT equipment is up and running. If you would like your child to borrow a laptop or webcam, please make your request to office@brockhill.kent.sch.uk and we will be pleased to help. Our technicians work to meet requests just as quickly as they can, but this may take a little time.
Please be aware of changes to Gov.uk Guidance, particularly in respect of the requirements regarding the Omicron variant.
Stay at home: guidance for households with possible or confirmed coronavirus (COVID-19) infection
Please remember to keep ordering Lateral Flow Test Kits for your family.
Order Rapid Lateral Flow Tests
You can of course also pick them up from pharmacies.
Our Terrace Restaurant will serve Christmas Dinner for £3 to students this Wednesday. We hope it will be an enjoyable part to our final week of term and are of course taking steps to avoid overcrowding in the restaurant.
Free School Meal vouchers will be issued to parents for the 2 weeks of the Christmas holiday by WONDE this Wednesday. Please see Parent and Guardian Ordering.
Please encourage your daughter or son to sign up and attend at least 1 lunchtime club per week: Lunchtime Clubs 2021 / 2022
Yours Sincerely,
Sonette Schwartz Charles Joseph
