Letter to Parents 28th April 2023
Dear Parents and students
On Wednesday, we were honoured to receive a visit from Her Royal Highness, the Duchess of Edinburgh.
During her visit, Her Royal Highness awarded to Brockhill Gold Demonstration School status from LEAF (Linking Environment and Farming) of which she is president.
The award recognises the school’s work with students in connection with farming and sustainable food production.
We are exceptionally proud of the work of our students with as ever their families’ support, as we are the only school in the country to have been awarded Gold status.
The visit was enjoyed by us all, and the students were fine ambassadors for the school, their work on the farm and our beautiful local area.

Elsewhere this week, a number of Year 11 students have attended morning GCSE Science revision classes starting at 7am! Facing forward to their Public Examinations in this way is very impressive!
Again, the College Leadership Team and I have toured classrooms each morning this week and been delighted with how students are applying themselves to their learning.
They look smart and are very largely properly equipped for the school day. Thank you!
Please see our student Equipment ListHERE.
