Letter to parents 10th June
June 10th 2020
Dear Parents
Thank you for your support with Home School today.
We are continuing to step up the number of live lessons via Webex or Google Meet this week to ensure a good amount of ‘face-to-face’ contact between students and their teachers, particularly in Years 10 & 12.
We are also currently considering how we may offer safe socially distanced parents’ evening style events during the school day and spread over several days for these Year Groups later in the term. We will contact you further in respect of this during next week.
Please ensure your daughter or son chooses a book for this half-term from our Digital Library with links to some really interesting and gripping new recommended titles for students in each year group to read. Reading is so very important and we ask that you encourage your children to undertake at least 20 minutes of reading each day.
As of Thursday, we will also be commencing Careers’ Education sessions in the Google Classroom. This means we will now offer a Tutor Group Activity daily.
Tomorrow, Wednesday is PSHE.
The Tutor Activity is a vital part of the curriculum and we will be asking Tutors to nominate students, who are engaging well around this over the next two weeks, as we are very keen to recognize students’ effort and commitment to their learning.
Stay safe.
Yours sincerely
