Dear Parents

 

Thank you for your support with Home School today.

We are continuing to step up the number of live lessons via Webex or Google Meet this week to ensure a good amount of ‘face-to-face’ contact between students and their teachers, particularly in Years 10 & 12.

We hope you have set up your weekly Guardian Summary email about work carried out by your daughter or son in Google Classroom. If you have you will receive your Weekly Guardian Summary tomorrow and if not please do contact us and we will help with the setup.

 

We have tracked an issue of the Guardian Summary showing work as incomplete when in fact it has been completed. We attach our Handing in Assignments set outside Google Classroom.

We are also currently considering how we may offer safe socially distanced parents’ evening style events during the school day and spread over several days for these Year Groups later in the term. We will contact you further in respect of this during next week.

Tomorrow, Friday is Quiz. Please carry out this activity as a family if you get the opportunity.

The Tutor Activity is a vital part of the curriculum and we will be asking Tutors to nominate students, who are engaging well around this over the next two weeks, as we are very keen to recognize students’ effort and commitment to their learning.

If you have not done so already, please ensure your daughter or son chooses a book for this half-term from our Digital Library with links to some really interesting and gripping new recommended titles for students in each year group to read.
