Dear Parents / Guardians

 

Thank you for all your support of us this week. We will be donating money raised from tomorrow’s non uniform day to the BBC Children in Need charities. Students should bring £1.

As we approach the holiday, please remind your daughter or son of the importance of reading for just 20 minutes per day. This has been demonstrated to be hugely beneficial in raising student attainment in the range of subjects they study.

Please do ensure they have chosen a book and are reading daily from our

Digital Library

Teachers will be placing Easter holiday revision assignments in the Google Classroom for Years 11 and 13 students to help prepare for assessments, which we will carry out to inform the Centre Assessed Grades we submit to Examination Boards. For all other Year Groups teachers have this week set Homework as per our Homework timetable for submission after the upcoming holiday.

We are immensely grateful to you that the vast majority of students now report carrying out a once weekly Lateral Flow Test at home. However, a small minority of older students are still not doing so. During the school holiday, please carry on testing –twice weekly rather than once a week. Please ensure your child completes a test the day before they return to school after the holiday. Please also remember to keep ordering Lateral Flow Test Kits for you and all your family.

If your daughter or son tests positive between this Wednesday evening and the following Monday, April 5^th please let us know by email to the school office account.

It is our intention to continue testing students once weekly as per our regular schedule in the summer term.
