Letter to Parents 13th May

 

 

May 13th 2022 

                                           

Dear Parents / Guardians  

 

Thank you for your support this week getting the students into school punctually each day, ready to learn in correct uniform and with all the necessary equipment. Your support is essential and very much appreciated.  

 

This and next half-term, we will be continuing to ensure students access as many extra-curricular opportunities as possible. This week students have visited the mural project in Hythe, Drama students have performed to Year 8 and a number of staff have attended First Aid update training. We wish our Performing Arts’ students luck for this evening’s performance for which they have prepared so hard! We are proud of them! 

 

On account of the currently improved situation, we have taken the decision to reduce in school Lateral Flow Testing and limiting this to where we have concerns about a group or groups of students, with effect from Monday. We would like to say a special thank you to our students and their parents for supporting testing over such a long period of time and to our colleagues for organising this so effectively. We believe the testing has contributed significantly to our high rates of attendance to school throughout the period of its operation and to always being able to deliver the curriculum via our own specialist subject teachers.

We will be asking teachers to nominate students for commendation for submission of personal best class- and homework assignments during the coming week.
