Sixth Form Open Evening – Tuesday, November 12th from 6 – 8pm

We are writing to invite you and your daughter / son to our Sixth Form Open Evening on Tuesday, November 1st. This is an important event in the educational life of all our students and we look forward to welcoming you.

You will have the opportunity to attend a brief presentation with the Principal, Mr Joseph and the Sixth Form Director, Mr Travers and most importantly to tour our subject stands and speak to teachers about the Post 16 courses on offer at Brockhill Park. Our Assistant Sixth Form Directors, Mrs Brandicourt and Mrs Paynter will also be on hand with our Sixth Form Learning Mentor, Mrs Foster to answer any questions you may have.

 

There will be 2 presentations: 

Eden and Medway students 6:30 – 6:45pm  - Rother and Stour students 7:00 – 7:15pm

Sixthform Open Evening

 

This is an important time for your daughter or son, and deciding on their next steps can be an overwhelming experience for young people. We will work hard to ensure this is not the case and that all our students approach the future with confidence. 

Here, at Brockhill we guide our Year 11 students through the many choices available. Post 16 choices need careful consideration as students can choose to stay on at school, attend college or enrol on an apprenticeship scheme.  Now, is absolutely the right time to start thinking about these choices. 

You can help your daughter or son by starting to talk to them about where they see themselves studying when they have completed their GCSE studies, if they intend to progress on to university post 18, and what type of subject areas or careers they may be interested in. 

We always tell our students that nothing is set in stone now and the best way forward is to explore all their options. So please do attend the evening, even if it is not your daughter or son’s current intention to remain with us in Years 12 & 13. This will help the students ask the right questions if they visit other providers.

We have a successful, friendly, and high achieving Sixth Form here at Brockhill.  Many of our students progress to university and those that do not, find gainful employment or apprenticeships.  We are proud of the work that we do in the Sixth Form and proud of the outcomes of our students.
